Avengers: Infinity War Day 2 Box Office Collections

The newly released Hollywood flick Avengers Infinity War is unstoppable at the box-office. According to trade analysts, the film has minted Rs 30 crore on the second day. Notably, the Marvel film raked in Rs 31.30 crore in India on Day 1.

According to a latest box-office report doing the rounds on social media, "There has been no Hollywood film that has even reached 15 crore nett before this film so it's almost double their best in India."

The film which brings together twenty two super heroes has including Robert Downey Jr's Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo's The Hulk and Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange, and one big villain after six infinity stones has beaten Padmaavat, Padman and Raid to clinch the top spot.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh called it, "Numbers are an EYE-OPENER... More so, because it was released in just 2000+ screens... This Marvel movie is a MARVEL at the BO too."

"With an epic storyline, larger-than-life characters and our localisation efforts, the film is setting a milestone in the cinematic universe," said Bikram Duggal, Executive Director and Head Studios and Chief Marketing Officer, Disney India.

Adarsh listed the top five films of 2018 so far, on the basis of their opening day and/or paid preview business. The list is led by "Avengers: Infinity War" (English and dubbed versions), followed by "Baaghi 2", "Padmaavat", "PadMan" and "Raid". The newest addition to the Marvel cinematic universe opened in 2,000 Indian screen on Friday in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. Trade expert Komal Nahta tweeted: "Gosh! Gosh! Rs 30 crore-plus is the historic box office figure of Hollywood film 'Avengers: Infinity War' for day 1 in India."
