Auto operator to go on strike demanding ban on Uber and Ola
Hyderabad: City auto-rickshaw drivers would go on strike on April 13 and would take a massive rally against Ola and Uber travels for practicing illegal activities in the city.
Md Amanullah Khan, Auto Driver Unions JAC leader on Sunday said that the Motor Vehicles Act is being violated by Ola and Uber who are fixing and reducing the fares unilaterally against the interests of local auto operators.
Amanullah also alleged that city traffic police harassment on auto-rickshaw drivers is increasing. He demanded e-challans be replaced with spot challans. P Ravi, PRKTU leader demanded the state government to ban Ola and Uber services in the city.
