Auto driver slits throat for Samaikyandra

Opposing the division of the state, an auto driver slit his throat with blade at Gutti in Ananthapuram district on Wednesday.

Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital. He is said to be in a critical state.

In a related incident, a journalist tried to self immolate at Kakinada in East Godavari district. But a few leaders foiled his attempt and saved him.
