Auto driver arrested for abusing school girls

Hyderabad:
Meerpet Police on Tuesday arrested an autorickshaw driver for
sexually assaulting school girls. Kittu alias Murali Krishna used to
target girls going home for lunch or returning to school after lunch.
It has been a long practice for Kittu calling school going girls
inside his house in the pretext of helping his sister for some work.
Once the girls get into the house, Kittu would then assault them. He
assaulted them for several times by threatening to kill them.

Police
officials said that many victims were yet to approach them.

Balala Hakkula Sangham helped the victims to lodge complaint with
Police. AP Balala Hakkula Sangham has demanded that a rape case be
booked against Kittu and the victims be rehabilitated.

Earlier
also Kittu had helped a couple get married at Yadadrigutta. The girl
was minor. Taking advantage of this, Kittu threatened the man with
dire consequences for marrying a minor girl and assaulted her
sexually for three days at a house in Ghatkesar.

Police
has registered a case of outraging the modesty of women added with
charges under the Criminal Amendment Act 2016 and Protection of
Children from Sexual Offences Act. Krishna has been arrested and sent
to remand.

Meerpet
inspector Ch. Rangaswamy said that the Police has registered case
against Kittu based on a complaint from a girl. “If more victims
lodge complaints against him, we’ll register all the cases against
him and take action.”
