Electing to bat, Australia were 131 for one against India at lunch on Day One of the fourth and final cricket Test at picturesque HPCA Stadium, at Dharamshala on Saturday.

Australia lost Matt Renshaw (1) cheaply before captain Steve Smith (72) and David Warner (54) strengthened the innings. Australia captain Steve Smith won the toss and elected to bat against India in the decisive fourth cricket Test at HPCA stadium. India missed skipper Virat Kohli, who has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury, and will be led by middle-order batsman Ajinkya Rahane. Left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav will make his Test debut, taking place of regular captain Kohli while Bhuvneshwar Kumar has replaced paceman Ishant Sharma. Australia have fielded an unchanged side.

The series is locked 1-1.
