'AU law college was adopted'

Andhra Pradesh education minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao said that they are adopting Andhra University Law College.

Speaking to reporters at AU campus on Sunday, he said that they would convert law college into model campus. “We will conduct alumni meeting of the college every year,” said the minister.

Ganta said that the university got the donations to the extent of Rs. 3 cr after Hudhud cyclone hit the city.

“State government will conduct celebrations on October 12 every year on the occasion of conquering Hudhud cyclone,” said the minister.

Speaking in the same meeting, VC of Andhra University, G.S.N.Raju, said that 90 percent of electricity was resumed in the campus till now. “All the basic amenities to the students were already provided and the classes will be conducted from Monday. I am requesting the old students of the university to help the university at the critical moment,” said the vice chancellor.
