Attempt on Aurobindo Pharma VP's life - Sakshi Post

In a shocking incident, an unidentified miscreant opened fire at Aurbindo pharma vice-president at the KBR Park near Jubilee Hills in Hyderabad on Wednesday morning.

The incident occured when Nityananda Reddy, vice-president of Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals, was opening the door of his Audi car after finishing his morning walk at the KBR park. An unidentified miscreant entered the car and opened fire on Reddy with his AK 47. However, an alert Reddy whipped out his hand gun and returned the fire. The assailant panicked and tried to run away. Meanwhile, Reddy's brother Prasad Reddy tried to catch him. The assailant bit him and ran away leaving behind his AK 47 and hand bag.

According to eyewitnesses, 15 rounds of fire was exchanged. No injuries were reported. This incident created panic around KBR park. Police reached the spot immediately on receiving the information and started investigation.

Nityananda Reddy told Sakshi that the man who tried to attack him was 5.3" tall and demanded money from him. "When I sat inside my car, the assailant came close to me and pointed gun at me. He asked me to start the car. At that instant, I tried to push his gun away from me. Then suddenly he began firing at me. When I returned the fire, the miscreant fled. My brother tried to nab hi," he said. Reddy said he can identify the person who shot at him.

Reddy also clarified that he doesn't have rivalry with anyone. Reddy also added unknown man fired about eight rounds at him.

West Zone DCP Venkateswara Rao reached the spot and began investigations.
