Attack case of Rajasekhar, Jeevitha quashed

The Nampalli court on Thursday dismissed the case filed by actor Rajasekhar and Jeevitha against the fans of actor-turned- politician Chiranjeevi for attacking them.
Some unidentified persons had attacked the car of Dr Rajasekhar and his family when he was returning home from railway station. The persons alleged to be the fans of Chiranjeevi attacked the car with stones and iron rods in January, 2008. Rajasekhar and his daughter Sivani had been injured in the attack. Later, Chiranjeevi and Allu Aravind had visited Rajasekhar’s residence immediately after the incident and apologized for the incident on behalf of the fans.
The Nampalli court dismissed the case on Thursday as the Rajasekhar and Jeevitha failed to identify the culprits in the attack. Talking to reporters, Rajasekhar and Jeevitha said they wishfully did it keeping in view of sufferings of their families. They clarified that they would not proceed further in the case as they wanted to put an end to the episode.
