Arogya Sri now wears NTR tunic

Names of the schemes change the moment governments change. With TDP at the helm of the affairs in Andhra Pradesh, the new government is on a mission to couch the existing schemes in new names.

The hugely popular Arogya Sri scheme will now become NTR Vaidya Seva. The pet scheme of late YSR, that has changed entire fortunes of the poor and made quality medicare accessible to them, will now have a different name.
The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, which met at Secretariat on Monday, passed a resolution changing the name of YSR's prestigious health scheme.
The cabinet also decided to set up a capital regional development authority with Chandrababu himself as its chairperson.
