Army Jobs Racket Busted

Guntur: Two persons were arrested on Friday on the charges of duping unemployed youth by promising jobs in the Army in Guntur.

Shaik Ashiq Ali and Mir Quaza Mohinuddin of Venkatarama Colony in Guntur town lured unemployed youths by promising jobs in the Army and collected Rs3.50 lakh from 24 persons. They gave a bond to the victims promising to return their money if they are not placed in a job. However, none of the victims got a job and when asked for a refund, the accused were avoiding them.

One of the victims Madala Gopi of Malyavantunipadu village in Markapuram mandal of Prakasham district lodged a complaint against the fraudsters. After an inquiry, police arrested the accused on Friday. Rs45 lakh cash, 26 bond papers were recovered from them.
