Araku MP Kothapally Geetha Gets Threatening Mails 

Vizag: "A file with charges against you is in the ACB office. If you want more details about the charges, send money to my SBI account," was the gist of a mail received by Araku MP Kothapally Geetha a couple of days back. She lodged a complaint against the unidentified sender at Dwaraka police here on Thursday.

The mail also accused Geetha of buying huge quantities of gold and said that the ACB was going to probe the matter. Denying any such transactions, Geetha said cyber criminals are trying to extort money from her and also other MPs. She demanded stringent action against cyber criminals who are looting and harassing people and said she will raise the issue of strengthening Cyber Crime Act in the parliament.

Geetha lamented that no action was taken by the police when she complained of a theft of Rs 12,000 from her son's bank account by some online criminal more than eight months back.
