Apex Court to hear Jagan's bail petition today - Sakshi Post

The bail petition of Cuddapah MP and the YSR Congress Party President, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy will come up for hearing in the Supreme Court today.

Justice Aftab Alam and Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai will hear the bail plea in the apex Court. The Bench had admitted Additional Solicitor General, Mohan Parasaran's plea seeking adjournment on grounds of change of the agency's counsel.

Jagan was represented by lawyers Gopal Subramaniam and Viswanathan while Parasaran and senior counsel, Ashok Bhan argued on behalf of the CBI.

It may be recalled that when the bail petition had come up for hearing on Sep 14, the CBI sought more time to file a counter, following which the hearing had been adjourned to September 28. However, the hearing was adjourned that day too with the same flimsy excuse.

However, Jagan, the youth icon of Andhra Pradesh is being backed by thousands of his supporters who have been undertaking padayatras, conducting special prayers for his release.

Unable to bear the growing popularity of Jagan, the Congress has been hatching conspiracies one after another. Else how does one explain the ED attaching the assets of Sakshi Media House on the eve of Jagan's bail petition?

The YSR family, however, is undettered. YSRC party honorary president and Jagan's mother YS Vijayamma has expressed hope that things will soon fall in place.
