AP to hike bus fare, burdens common man

Andhra Pradesh government is going against to its word during announcement of fitment to RTC employees that their will be no hike in bus fare near soon.

AP government decided to hike 20% of RTC fare which will inturn become burden for common man. This proposal to hike fare is submitted by RTC MD N Sambasiva Rao two days back to Transport Minister Sidda Raghavarao.
As the Ruling government, TDP is conducting 'Nava Nirmana Deeka' in June first week, soon after the programs conclude the hike may be applied. Even though the decision to increase fare was planned to be after Telangana announces hike, the delay in RTC division propelled government to decide on price hike. This price hike will be applicable from 'Palle velugu' buses to Garuda plus and Vennela buses. With the current hike, a burden of 830 crores will be on common man.
