However, instead of reducing the graveness of the crisis, the government is sending out a team of top officials on a world tour to study the development of ultra modern cities to implement their practices back home.

Ajay Jain, principal secretary of CRDA said that the government has approved a list of 10 cities that would be toured by the officials, which includes eight in Asia, one each in South America and Europe. The tour will continue till November 7.

He said it's a very important exercise to find the best possible examples of excellence for the construction of the new AP capital.

The AP cabinet has approved the tour by CRDA officials and one official has already left for China, and rest of the team led by commissioner N Srikanth will begin the tour on Wednesday.
According to sources the municipal and urban development minister, P Narayana, a close associate of Chandrababu Naidu will also join the CRDA team during its tour.
