AP Inter IInd year results out

The Andhra Pradesh Board of Intermediate Education released the Intermediate IInd year on Tuesday at Kurnool. The board announced that the results would be out at 11 AM on Tuesday and it succeeded in sticking to the deadline.

The results were formally released by Minister for HRD in Andhra Pradesh Ganta Srinivasa Rao. The pass percentage this year is 72.07 per cent. While Krishna district, which has most of the corporate educational institutions, stood at the top of the chart with a whopping 83 per cent pass rate, Kadapa district was at the bottom with 60 per cent. Compared to last year, the pass percentage in Andhra Pradesh has gone up by 1.19 per cent.

As usual, the girls outshone the boys in the examinations. The pass percentage of the boys was 69.43 per cent, the girls secured 74.80 per cent. This is 5.37 per cent more than the boys.

The advanced intermediate supplementary examinations for those who could not clear the examinations, would be held from May 25. Ganta tried to stoke a controversy by bringing in a comparison with the pass percentage in neighbouring Telangana. While Telangana had an overall pass percentage of 61.41, AP had 72.07 per cent.
