AP government agrees to 43% fitment to RTC employees

Hyderabad: AP government on Wednesday agreed to 43% fitment bringing down curtains on 8-day strike.

RTC unions are continuing their strike for past 8 days demanding a wage revision and fitment of 43%  at par with state government. The discussions are still going on regarding arrears. With government's yes, the discussions regarding wage revision are successful. As the main issue is resolved in few hours we may have buses on road. The unions are firm that government should accept to give arrears. If the government goes on with increase in fitment only from now, an amount of Rs.900 crores will be burden on government. Adding arrears will amount to Rs.1108 crore
