AP gears up for President's rule
The UPA government is all set to impose President's rule in Andhra Pradesh. As per reports, the Union Cabinet met on Friday to take up the matter of governance of Andhra Pradesh, that has been stuck in limbo since the resignation of former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy.
After oscillating between electing a new government and imposing President's rule, the government has opted for the latter. The meeting was attended by seniors leaders, GoM members under PM Manmohan Singh, Pallam Raju, Kavuri Sambashiva Rao and Chiranjeevi, representing Seemandhra region, also attended
"There is no choice to form a new government so we opted for President's rule," said a minister, present at the meeting.
