AP Capital Construction: Collection from students stayed
Hyderabad: The High Court is not pleased with collection of funds from students for the construction of AP new capital Amaravati.
The HC has questioned the AP government’s circular which was sent to schools for the collection for funds from the students for the construction of the AP Capital. The HC has also given a stay order on Wednesday and quashed the circulars sent to schools by the education department.
On being approached by several petitioners about the donations being collected, the HC directed the AP Government to stop collecting money.
The state government had earlier announced that every student in the state has to contribute to the ‘My Capital, My Amaravati, My Brick’. Circulars were sent to every school by the education department officials in all the districts.
