Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Assembly passed four major bills, including Goods and Service Tax (GST), on Thursday though opposition YSRCP was strongly demanding a debate on special state status. The bills pertaining to private colleges in agriculture and horticulture sectors, Exemption of VAT in hotels, Ban on double registrations were also passed by assembly.

YSRCP demanded that the CM make a statement on the issue. YSRCP members surrounded the speaker’s podium and chanted slogans like ‘special state status is the right of Andhra people’.
