Gudivada/Badvel: The Andhra Pradesh Government is continuing with the draconian crackdown of social media activism. Another social media activist has been taken into custory, this time from Gudivada in Krishna district.

Thota Rajesh, a social media activist was picked up from his house late on Tuesday night by the police. He was arrested on charges of making adverse comments against MLA Jayaramulu, who defected from the YSRCP to the ruling TDP.

Five persons, claiming to be police, came to Thota Rajesh's house. As Rajesh was not available at home, they called him telephonically and asked him to come to the police station. When Rajesh came to the police station, he was immediately whisked away to Badvel in Kadapa district. His family members, who did not have any information about the whereabouts of Rajesh, became deeply worried. They suspect foulplay as the police have not come forth with any information.

The AP police have already arrested social media activists Inturi Ravikiran and Ravindra Ippala for criticising the Government and the ruling party on the social media. Ravindra Ippala was arrested in May for posting content against TDP MLA JC Prabhakar Reddy.
