Another Gurukul Student Commits Suicide

Mancherial: A Gurukul student died under mysterious circumstances at Social welfare hostel in Jaipur mandal of Mancherial district on Sunday afternoon. The victim, who was identified as Venkatesh, came to attend IV Zonal Sports Meet at Jaipur.

Venkatesh was a 9th class student at Gurukul school in Husnabad town, Siddipet district. The police registered a case and are investigating if it was a case of accidental death or if he was deliberately pushed by someone.

Meanwhile, locals are expressing anger at the school management for not providing safety measures. This is the second such incident after a student Rakesh died when he accidentally fell from the building when he was in a deep sleep on July 15.
