Angered Lover Attacks Woman

S Kota: In a bizarre incident, a youth tried to attack woman who had an extra-marital affair with him. He suspected that the woman was ignoring him and he attacked her on Thursday evening, in the melee, a young man who tried stop him lost his fingers.

According to the police, Nanigiri Nagaraju resident of Nadabanda locality in S. Kota town, had an affair with a woman belonging to Konda Tamarapalli village of Guntyada mandal. The two knew each other since the woman was working in the water plant, located inside the premises of the local RTC bus depot. Nagaraju works as a Shramik in the depot.

The woman has reportedly been living alone since her husband and daughter died seven years ago. Recently, she had started working in an ice cream parlour owned by a youth named Adimulam Madhu. It is learnt that of late the woman has been ignoring Nagaraju.

Angered by her avoiding him, Nagaraju attacked the woman inside the parlor in an attempt to kill her. Noticing this, Madhu tried to stop Nagaraju. He then attacked Madhu, leading to four fingers of his right hand being severed.

Following the incident, the local residents immediately shifted Madhu to the local government hospital. After providing first-aid, Madhu was shifted to Vizag's King George Hospital for further treatment. The local police have taken Nagaraju into custody for investigation and a case was filed.
