3rd Installment Of Free Rations To White Ration Card Holders In Andhra Pradesh - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh State Government has started the third phase of free distribution of ration to the help poor people during the lockdown on Wednesday. As part of the third phase, a total of 1,47,24,017 families with white ration cards across the state will receive essential supplies. The delivery of ration will be distributed across 43,685 ration shops across the State from morning 6:00 am.

In Krishna district free ration in the district began at 6:00 am and is being done through 2,300 ration shops in the district. Rice card holders are offering given 5 kg of rice and 1 kg of Dal per person. Cardholders' biometric fingerprints are mandatory as per Central government regulations. Sanitizers are being made available at the ration shop counters and officials have instructed public to sanitize their hands before and after taking goods. Time slot coupons are also being offered to maintain physical distance.

The distribution of free rice also began in Kurnool,West Godavari, Visakhapatnam, Nellore and Chittoor districts.

Chittoor: Distribution of free ration of goods under the third installment started from early morning at 299 ration shops in the district.

West Godavari: Rations will be distributed to 12.48 lakh eligible families in the district. Volunteers are coordinating to ensure that physical distance is manitained by people in each ration depot. District Collector Ramana Reddy inspected the free ration distribution program in Eluru.

Kurnool: Rice will be distributed to 11.91 lakh cardholders in 2436 ration shops across the district.
