AP CM Pays Tributes To Ambedkar - Sakshi Post

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday paid tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar, the Father of the Indian Constitution, on his birth anniversary. The event was held at the chief minister’s camp office in Tadepalli. YS Jagan recalled the yeomen services rendered by Dr Ambedkar to the country.

"Ambedkar was a visionary, who not only shaped up the Indian Constitution but also was a torchbearer for political and economic policies in the country," said YS Jagan.

Ministers Pinipe Vishwaroop and Adimulapu Suresh, MP Nandigam Suresh, MLA Meruga Nagarjuna, Anil Kumar Kaile, SC Corporation Chairman Kanaka Rao and others participated in this event.

At another event at the YSRCP headquarters in Vijayawada, several party leaders paid homage to Dr Ambedkar. Advisor to the AP Government Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, MLAs Meruga Nagarjuna, Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy and Lella Appi Reddy were among those who offered floral tributes.

Speaking to the Media on the occasion, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy said that the state government under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy originally planned to distribute house site pattas to the poor on Tuesday coinciding with Dr Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. But in view of the Coronavirus pandemic and the resultant lockdown, it had to postpone its plans.

Sajjala said that AP CM Jagan is a man, committed to the principles of Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi. Empowerment of women is also among plans that are uppermost in his mind, he said. Under the leadership of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Andhra Pradesh government has emerged as a role model for the country in terms of conceptualizing and implementing a host of welfare schemes.
