AP Govt To Revive Rachabanda Programme From Next Year

AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

TADEPALLI: Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that he would start the Rachabanda programme from January or February next year and urged the government officials to focus on implementing the promises to be made during district visits. Speaking at a review meeting with Secretaries and Heads of various departments here on Friday he said that,” if we lay foundation stone to any project, the work should be started within four weeks”.

The Chief Minister said that the priority of the Government would be to undo the damage done by the previous government and clear the financial mess it has pushed the state into besides implementing the Navaratnalu while taking austerity measures at the same time.

He said, the previous government did not clear bills aggregating to Rs 40,000 Crores which is the main reason for the financial issues in the state. “We have focused to overcome the situation for the last few months and have adopted austerity measures by cutting down unnecessary expenditure and focus only on priority issues.

The criteria to define the success of any scheme implemented should be the satisfaction of the people. “We have clearly stated that the promises made in the manifesto should be given priority and focus of the government should be on implementation of Navaratnas,” the Chief Minister said and emphasised the importance of the manifesto which was drafted after careful examination of requests from the people during the 14-months Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

He told the officials to come up with ideas to increase the revenue of the state without burdening the public. “We should mount pressure on officials stationed at Delhi to get maximum funds from the Central Government,” he said.
