Fewer Bars In AP, Decision To Come Into Effect From Jan 1
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken one more key decision for the prohibition of liquor as promised by him during his padayatra before AP 2019 assembly elections.
The AP CM has ordered to reduce the number of bars in the state. The decision is expected to come into effect from January 1. The liquor shops should be strictly permitted to operate only between 11 am to 10 pm.
YS Jagan held a review meeting with officials over the revenue of the state government at the Tadepalli camp office on Thursday, November 7. The officials explained YS Jagan over the current revenue which is being generated from all the different liquor outlets.
The CM instructed the officers that bars should be away from residential places and school zones.
