AP CM YS Jagan Keeps His Word To Farmers
AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed officials to provide financial assistance to the kin of farmers immediately, who committed suicide in the state in recent times as they failed to get minimum support price for their produce.
The Agriculture Department of Andhra Pradesh has come up with this new initiative, which will support the families of farmers. The Commissioner for Agriculture Department Arun Kumar told that they had allocated Rs.13 crores to the 13 districts and also deposited the amount in the respective farmers' account.
He said that if a farmer dies, unfortunately, the respective District Collector will hand over financial aid to the kin of the farmer immediately.
