Get Ready For January Government Recruitment Drive, Says YS Jagan

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasised that the State government would conduct an employment recruitment drive every year in the month of January.

Speaking during a ceremony held in Vijayawada, where he handed over appointment letters to qualified candidates of the Village and Ward Secretariat exams (AP Grama Sachivalayam) on Sunday, YS Jagan said that exams would be conducted to recruit people in the month of January next year to fill vacant Government jobs which were vacant since many days.

YS Jagan congratulated the eligible candidates who qualified in the competitive exams out of the 20-lakh candidates who wrote the test. Addressing the new recruits, YS Jagan said, "Transparency without corruption is a big responsibility. The village and ward secretariat employees will get the opportunity to serve their own people. The volunteers are like the two eyes of the state and you should make use of this opportunity", he said.The Chief Minister also said that based on the way they function the State would prosper and that the benefits of the welfare schemes should reach each doorstep of households.

Speaking further YS Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated each and every official responsible for conducting these examinations in an efficient and smooth manner. He said that the humongous task of conducting examinations in a transparent manner, free from any kind of complaints or glitches was not easy.

"I salute each and every State official, District Collectors and Superintendents of Police from all districts in the State for their hard work and efforts to pull off this task in a short span of three months."

The Chief Minister assured the candidates who did not qualify, not be disheartened, as the ''Employment Revolution'' will continue in the future.

He said that henceforth, every year, in the month of January, a notification would be issued for the recruitment drive, and the government is taking necessary steps in this regard.

The vacancies in each department would be filled from January 1 to January 30, he assured. CM YS Jagan called for the unemployed to be prepared for the notification, which will be issued in the month of January, he concluded.

AP State Senior Ministers Kodali Nani, Perni Nani, Vellampalli Srinivas ,Peddireddy Ramchandra Reddy , Botsa Satyanarayana, MLAs, and Panchayati Raj Secretary Gopala Krishna Dwivedi, IAS Girija Shanker and IAS GS Vijaya Kumar participated in the ceremony.
