Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy lauded the efforts of officials who were involved in conducting the AP Grama Sachivalayam (Village Secretariats) exams and releasing the results in record time.

Speaking to officials after releasing the results on Thursday afternoon, YS Jagan said that it was a record of sorts where so many candidates were given employment is such a short span. He also expressed his happiness that the promise made for establishing Village Secretariats and providing job opportunities through Village Volunteer posts, was fulfilled within a record time of three months. He also brought to light the fact that it was also for the first time in history that 1,26,728 permanent employees were given jobs through a single notification issued by the State Government.

YS Jagan congratulated all the candidates who passed the exam and said that they would be trained well by the State. He said that they should work towards working for the State and ensure the benefits of the Narvaratnalu schemes reach the people at the grass roots.

The Chief Minister lauded the efforts for conducting the exams in a systematic manner and completing the whole exercise on time. He praised the officials who worked in a fair and transparent manner and due to their hard work and efforts, the prestigious concept of establishing Village Secretariats and recruiting candidates was a huge success.

He said that the Grama Sachivalayams would start functioning from October 2nd as planned per schedule and that revolutionary changes would come into place due this new form of governance.

YS Jagan said that through these volunteers, the Government welfare schemes would reach the doorsteps of beneficiaries directly and equally without any bias of region or politics.
