5-Member Committee To Review Urban Developmental Plans In AP And Amaravati
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration & Urban Development department issued orders for the constitution of a five-member expert committee to review the current plans and approaches under execution, for the development of the State.
Retired senior IAS officer GN Rao will be the Convenor of this Expert Committee, which will suggest a comprehensive development strategy for the entire State including the Capital region.
The Committee will submit its report to the State Government within six weeks of the study.
The expert Committee that consists of professionals from the field of urban planning will take a quick review of the developmental plans initiated so far and suggest comprehensive development strategy for all-round development of the entire State including Capital region of Amaravati.
The members include:
1. Prof. Dr. Mahaveer, Professor of Planning, Dean (Academic), School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
2. Dr. Anjali Mohan, Urban and Regional Planner.
3. Prof. Shivananda Swamy, CEPT, Ahmadabad
4. Prof. KT Ravindran, SPA(Retd), Delhi School of Architecture, Delhi.
5. Dr KV Arunachalam, Retd. Chief Urban Planner, Chennai.
The Committee shall co-opt one member who is an expert in Environmental Issues & Flood Management.
