TDP Leader Chintamaneni Prabhakar Arrested

West Godavari DSP Dileep Kiran arrested former MLA and TDP leader Chintamaneni Prabhakar on Wednesday morning. He was arrested at his home in Duggirala village at Dendaluru in the district when the police got to know that he had reached the place.

The fugitive leader has been hiding since 12 days was involved in more than 49 cases including the attack on a woman tahsildar. The West Godavari police had formed three special teams to locate his whereabouts and arrest him.

Based on various police complaints lodged against Chintamaneni police had gobe to arrest him , but he evaded arrest and was on the run since Friday. One of the complainants, K Venkatratnam, told West Godavari Superintendent of Police Navdeep Singh Grewal that the former MLA’s aides had kidnapped him and that the police failed to take any action.
