YS Jagan Pays Tributes To Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan On Teacher’s Day

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy acknowledged the role of teachers in nation building and also paid rich tributes to India's second president Dr Sarvepalli RadhaKrishnan on his birth anniversary, the day that is celebrated as Teachers Day in India.


Across the country, September 5 is celebrated as Teachers' Day, a day is dedicated to teachers and acknowledges their contribution in shaping one’s life.

Dr Radhakrishan author, scholar, Bharat Ratna recipient and the first Vice President and second President of independent India, was born on September 5, 1888 into a Telugu family.

He was India's vice-president in 1952, and in 1962, the revered scholar was the President of India.
