AP CM YS Jagan’s Popularity Ranking Soars Within 2 Months In Office
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's popularity as a new emerging leader in India, has reached an all time high with his new style of welfare governance.
Within a short span of 60 days of taking charge as the second Chief Minister of the bifurcated state of AP, he has emerged tall as a new leader from the Southern states. After defeating an experienced leader of 40 years N Chandrababu Naidu in what could be termed as an epic electoral win, YS Jagan or Jagan Anna as he is popularly known had won the hearts of the people of the state.
With a people-friendly style of functioning he has ensured that all the promises made during his iconic Praja Sankalpa Yatra before the elections, and as envisaged in the Navaratnalu and the Party Manifesto were implemented during the first Budget session. Not only has this endeared him to the people in the State but even at the National level.
With this, his reputation has been soaring not only among the people but in the popularity Polls conducted by various organisations as well in the country.
As per a recent survey conducted by VDP Associates, an election watch body YS Jagan made it to the number three rank in the Most Popular Chief Minister List.
In an all- India survey conducted with a hash tag "Desh Ka Mood", more than 71 % of the people expressed their satisfaction about his overall performance.

In another survey, VDP Associates stated that it conducted a nationwide survey in states with 10 or more Lok Sabha seats (except Delhi) with a sample of more than 15,000 voters. The ‘national tracker poll’ asked to which party would the voters cast their vote for if elections were conducted now. YSRCP was given maximum number of votes when compared to others in the State of AP.
In the latest India Today- Mood of the Nation (MOTN) poll conducted to decide the 'Best Performing Chief Minister' in the country YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was in the fourth position where he scored seven percent votes. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath topped the chart in the recent survey.
Despite being a debutante Chief Minister of a new state, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also made it to the top ten list of -Who is the Best Chief Minister of the Country, bagging the number six slot. This is a truly remarkable feat for a young leader whose massive sweep in the 2019 Assembly and Lok Sabha polls literally decimated the Telugu Desam Party and the Congress in AP.
YS Jagan enjoyed a greater deal of goodwill and popularity even when he was the leader of the opposition. This fact was revealed by an India Today-Axis My India Survey pointing out the fact that YS Jagan as the leader of the opposition was more popular than the sitting chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. It was said that this was not the case of opposition leaders in any other state of the country which were heading for polls in 2018.
His commitment to establish a friendly, transparent and corruption-free government has become a hallmark and is being referred to as an example of good governance in the country.
