Passing Written Test Enough For These Posts In AP Grama Sachivalaya
The Andhra Pradesh government has embarked on a prestigious recruitment drive to fill up the posts of 2.70 lakh Grama Sachivalaya or Village Secretariat volunteers, 1.26 lakh associated or related jobs and 7,966 posts of linemen across the state. The state government's recruitment drive would cover a record number 4 lakh posts and has attracted an overwhelming response from the youth of Andhra Pradesh. The government had released a notification to fill up posts of Grama Sachivalaya/Ward volunteers on July 26, setting the last date for submission of application forms as August 11. A whopping 22,73,793 candidates applied in response to the notification. However, because over a lakh candidates did not submit the form along with the required fee, they were declared ineligible and the final count stood at 21,69,719 candidates.
For the post of assistant in animal husbandry department, candidates can bag the job by clearing the written exam, the reason being few number of applications for this post. While the government has put out a notification for 9886 assistants in animal husbandry wing of village secretariats, only the applications of 6265 candidates cleared the scrutiny of officials. There is intense competition for the remaining 18 categories of posts with a ratio of 35:1 in terms of post to applicant competition
