Chirala Cops Arrest Gang Indulging In Highway Robberies, Sexual Assault

Chirala one town police arrested two persons who had created panic by robbery and sexual assault on the travellers in Dandubata. Chirala DSP Jaya Rama Subba Reddy revealed the case details in a press meet held at the police station. According to the DSP, the police had been tracking the movements of a group under suspicion. A team under one town CI Naga Malleswara Rao had been watching the movements of the group, who were indulging robbing and sexually assaulting the travellers at night at Dandubata.

On 25th July at 8 pm, two unknown persons robbed Rs 1200 and gold from Kolluru Chinna of Jarubula Vari Palem, Karamchedu Mandal at Dandubata outskirts. Based on a complaint filed by the victim, one town CI investigated and arrested Mattu Siva Shankar (20) and Pedaprolu Siva Brahma Reddy (20) in Dandubata and recovered money and gold from them. The accused had been sent to remand after being produced before a local judge. The DSP expressed confidence about arresting other gangs soon and congratulated the team for solving the case quickly.

Woman Killed By Husband

Kadapa: One woman was allegedly killed by her husband in Alluri Sitaramaraju Nagar, Kadapa. According to Police, Chandini (22), living at Alluri Sitarama Raju Nagar got married to Maruthi. They have a four year-old son. After a few days of marriage, her husband and in-laws started harassing Chandni for more money.

Recently, Maruthi demanded a smartphone from Chandini and her parents. Later, he planned to kill her for rejecting his demand and money. On Friday night Maruthi and his parents brutally killed Chandini in the house where they are living and absconded by locking the house. On learning from the local residents, police reached the spot. Based on a complaint filed by the mother of the deceased, Khasim Bi, a case has been registered against Maruthi and his parents. The investigation is being conducted by DSP Suryanarayana.
