Amaravati: To spur up the industrial growth in the State by exploring trade relations with various countries across the globe, the Andhra Pradesh government is hosting diplomats from 30 countries in Vijayawada for a special conference on August 9. Representatives from Australia, United Kingdom, Korea, Thailand, the Netherlands, Srilanka, Egypt among other counties will participate in these deliberations.

Titled the ‘Diplomatic Outreach Programme’, the collaborative initiative of the State government and the Ministry of External Affairs will see Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy address the foreign delegates to highlight investment possibilities and the potential trade relations between AP and their respective countries. After the meeting, YS Jagan will hold one on one discussion with each diplomat.

The State government is poised to showcase its industrial policies and investment opportunities along with the potential areas of partnerships with these countries. "Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is committed to make the State a preferred investment destination and trade partner," a statement from the Chief Minister's Office released on Thursday read.

Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and IT, Industries and Commerce Minister Mekapati Gowtham Reddy will also participate in these discussions. The conference will be held at Taj Gateway Hotel in Vijayawada.
