Amaravati: The notification for recruitment of various posts to Village Secretariats is drawing immense response.

Happy about the crowds it is drawing, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took to Twitter to share his views and to wish applicants all the best for the ensuing exams.

"Notification for jobs in Village and Ward Secretariats is drawing tremendous response. In one day over 1.34 lakh and over all 4.67 lakh had so far applied for these jobs. Orders have been issued to authorities concerned to ensure that applicants do not face any inconvenience. All the best for those appearing for exams," wrote YS Jagan on microblogging site on Wednesday.

Emphasising that Village Secretariats play an important role under the YSRCP government, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier ordered District Collectors to ensure that all preparations were in place before they become operational from October 2 onwards.

Continuing with the intention behind the Village Secretariats, the CM said: "Every Collector should treat these Village Secretariats as a baby. It should serve towards people's satisfaction. All government schemes and initiatives should be delivered in an effective manner."

YS Jagan said henceforth all cards including ration and pension cards would be given to eligible within 72 hours through Village Secretariats. He underscored that the Village Secretariat mechanism should win the confidence of people through its work and efficiency.
