Anantapur Police Crack Nallapareddy Village Murder Mystery
Anantapur Central: In a ghastly murder, Pedda Veeranarappa killed his cousin to get priesthood of Veera Narayanaswamy temple. Local police cracked the mystery around the murder case which took place in Nallapareddy village in Narpala Mandal on 20th July. Details of the accused were revealed at a press conference by DSP Veeraraghava Reddy on Monday. There was a rift between deceased Veeranarappa and his uncle Pedda Veeranarappa for the priesthood in Veeranarayana Swamy temple in the village. Pedda Veeranarappa felt that the deceased was preventing him from getting the priesthood which is a hereditary right.
Local Panchayat leaders had decided that Veeranarappa will hold priesthood for a period of one year which was resented by Pedda Veeranarappa and his family members. Pedda Veeranarappa nursed his animosity towards him and decided to kill him. On July 20 at 9 am Pedda Veeranarappa with the help of his sons Nagarjuna and Nagendra killed Veeranarappa. Narpala police took a written complaint from the wife of the deceased Ujjaneswari and arrested the accused.
