Case Filed Against TDP MP Galla Jayadev’s Associates

Guntur: A criminal case has been filed against Guntur TDP MP Galla Jayadev's associates for attacking a YSR Congress Party worker in Auto Nagar at Guntur on Monday. This was stated by Peddakakani SI J Anuradha ,that based on the complaint filed by Imtiyaaz, a case has been filed against Shabbir, his sons Imtiaz, Riaz, Firoz and Akram and Syed Gafoor.

As per details, on Saturday five associates of Guntur parliamentarian Galla Jayadev namely Shabbir, his sons' Imtiaz, Riaz, Firoz and his brother's son Syed Gafoor attacked a YSRCP activist Murad Ali in connection to a deal related to a purchase of an old lorry.

Syed Shabbir was the President of the Auto Nagar Automobile Association and had joined the TDP at the behest of the former Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murthy. He was said to be indulging in extortions and other offences. For a repair of a lorry he was taking Rs 500 and Rs 300 for a car which was questioned by a YSRCP worker name Murad Ali who dealt in automobile spare parts in the same area. They developed a grudge against him for questioning them.

On Saturday when a businessman named Jani had come to purchase an old lorry, Shabbir Ali and his sons got into a fight with Murad Ali , even though he had no connection with deal and attacked him. The five of them attacked Murad Ali with knives and in the fight, Murad Ali's brother's son Akram tried to protect him but was injured in the attack.

After the attack, they walked around Auto Nagar brandishing knives and rods creating a commotion in the area. Peddakakani area Police were called in and they took Akram to the hospital for treatment and based on the victim's complaint they took the accused into custody.
