Pensions Will Now Be Delivered At Doorstep - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: In a step towards ease of living, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday announced that persons eligible for pensions will get the amount directly at their homes with the help of village or ward volunteers concerned.

YS Jagan said Rs 15,676 crores have been allocated under the pension scheme which is almost double of that of the previous government of the Telugu Desam Party led by N Chadrababu Naidu.

He made the announcement at a meeting in Jamma-lamadugu in Kadapa.

The Andhra CM said that every farmer will get Rs 12,500 under the YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme on October 15, ahead of the Rabi season. He also gave away enhanced old age pensions of Rs 2,250.

He handed over a cheque of Rs seven lakh to a farmer's widow from Mudanur mandal who had committed suicide in 2015.
