Nellore Woman Trafficked To Bahrain For Sex Slavery In Guise Of Housemaid Rescued
Hyderabad: Although taken to Bahrain to work as a household maid, a 39-year-old Andhra Pradesh native has narrated her story saying she was made a sex slave.
The woman is a resident of Nellore and has two daughters and a son and somehow managed to reach the Indian Embassy in Bahrain and urged them to help her. Responding to her request, the embassy informed that she has been provided with an emergency passport but her request for ticket was under scanner as she had not yet provided any necessary details about her agents.
The embassy was intimated about the woman's condition by BJP Hyderabad city NRIs Coordination Committee chairman Thopalli Srinivas, according to a leading daily.

The Indian Embassy on Tuesday said that ticket for the first available flight was being arranged for the woman. Srinivas also urged EAM S Jaishankar to give blanket orders to embassies to help Indian housemaids who are stuck in the Gulf and make arrangements to send them back.
However, the woman alleged that she has been approaching for the Indian Embassy since the last two years as she wanted to come back home. She said that she went to Bahrain six years back and was made to work for 13 families in the four-floor building and she was not even paid for her job.

After such exploitation, when she approached the agent saying she cannot work there anymore, she alleged, she was used as sex slave and was asked to entertain customers for the past two months forcefully.
