K Vijayanand Appointed As  AP Chief Electoral Officer

K Vijayanand has been appointed as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: K Vijayanand has been appointed as the new Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) with immediate effect of Andhra Pradesh by the Election Commission of India. He replaces current CEO Gopal Krishna Dwivedi and will function as the CEO until further orders.

The ECI said that Vijayanand, while serving as the CEO, should not hold any additional charge whatsoever under the Government of AP, and should be designated as Secretary to the Government in-charge of Election Department in the State Secretariat.

He was earlier was relieved from the full additional charge of the Principal Secretary post.

A Go to this effect was also served in this regard. K. Vijayanand, a 1992 cadre IAS has been the Chairman and Managing Director of Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh Limited since 2014. He also served as the Principal Secretary to the AP Government, IT & Communications Department.
