AP Will Develop Under YS Jagan:PM Modi In Tirupati
Tirupati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the temple town of Tirupati to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara, atop the sacred Tirumala Hills on Sunday evening.
He was received by the Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy , Rajya Sabha Member V Vijaysai Reddy and other govt. officials at the Renigunta airport after he landed from Colombo.
BJP Thanksgiving meeting at Electronics Park, Renigunta
The prime minister first went to the Electronics Park in Renigunta to address a thanksgiving meeting organised by the BJP.
Speaking at the meeting Narendra Modi Sunday said that increased aspirations and expectations of people as reflected in the recent general elections verdict-- were a guarantee for making India brighter. "Given the huge mandate we got, some people think expectations and aspirations (on the government) have increased.
The Prime Minister said he has confidence in 130 crore Indians."If everyone of the 130 crore Indians takes one step forward, the country too will go that many steps ahead," Modi said.

Taking an indirect dig at Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Modi said some people could not still come out of the election hangover. "For us, it is over. Our focus now is entirely on development and people's welfare," he added.
Noting that strong governments were formed at the Centre as well as in Andhra Pradesh, the Prime Minister wished the state would surge ahead on the development path under the leadership of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
"AP has infinite possibilities for growth. We will fully extend all co-operation from the Centre for the development of the state," the Prime Minister assured. "It can move forward towards becoming a new AP under Jagan Mohan Reddy.The states and Centre should work together. Then we can make a New India", Modi said.
Tirumala darshan
After the meeting Modi proceed to Tirumala Hills in the evening where he was welcomed by the TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal other TTD officials. He was accompanied by CM YS Jagan, Governor ESL Narasimhan, ministers and other YSRCP leaders in the shrine ,where he offered prayers to Lord Venkateswara.
Modi also paid his obeisance to the sacred golden altar and the golden holy mast (Dwajastambham) inside the temple. After his darshan the TTD pundits blessed the Prime Minister by chanting Vedic hymns in the temple sanctum sanctorum. After the darshan he left for New Delhi by 8.30 pm.
