AP CM To Welcome PM Modi
Tirumala: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is all set to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is on a visit to Tirumala on Sunday.
PM Modi will reach Tirupati at 4.30 pm on Sunday from Colombo. YS Jagan will accord a grand welcome to the Prime Minister at Renigunta Airport, for the first time after he has been sworn in as the Chief Minister.
PM Modi will address a BJP Public Meeting with 5,000 party workers - 'Vijayotsava Sabha' at a venue near the airport. This is Modi's maiden visit to the temple after becoming prime minister for the second time.
He will later head to Tirumala for the Darshan of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The Chief Minister will also be arriving at Tirumala and accompany PM Modi for the Darshan.
In the wake of the massive victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Lok Sabha elections, the Prime Minister is visiting the Tirumala temple to offer prayers to Lord Venkateshwara shrine.
The PM last visited the temple in his capacity as the prime ministerial candidate in May 2014 and as prime minister in October 2015 and January 2017.
