DGP Takes Stock Of Security Preparedness In Wake of Terror Alerts
Kakinada: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Polcie RP Thakur held a review meeting with senior police officials on Sunday in the wake of terror alerts from the Central intelligence agencies. The alerts were specific in nature pointing to a possibility of terror strike on the gas and oil companies on the eastern coast of the State.
Speaking to press persons after taking stock of the security at Gadimoga Reliance gas terminal, he said the senior police officials had deliberated on range of issues including the security arrangements for the counting day on May 23. The situation on Andhra- Odisha border, which had been infamous for Maoist attacks, remained peaceful lately. Instructions were also given to officials on the cases filed during the polling day and charge sheets, he added.
