Leopard Triggers Panic Among Pilgrims On Tirumala Ghat Road

Tirumala: A leopard's presence at the first ghat road of Tirumala created a panic situation in the region. According to the eye-witnesses, the leopard was noticed at the 52 turning of the road.

The pilgrims, who were on their way to the Lord Venkateswara's darshan via the steps were left in fright unable to progress further. However, with the siren of TTD forest officials, the leopard is learned to have returned to the jungle.

The pilgrims have been suggested to form groups while taking the route of the steps. The forest rangers have also been on alert in connection to the leopard movement.
