TDP MP Sujana Chowdary Challenges CBI Inquiry In High Court

Sujana Chowdary - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: Challenging the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry in connection to the bank fraud case, Former union minister and TDP Rajya Sabha MP Sujana Chowdary has submitted a petition in High Court seeking all further action relating to the CBI notices be stopped.

He mentioned the Union Home Secretary and the CBI as the respondents in the case.

The CBI issued summons on April 22 and 27, directing the TDP leader to appear before it on the grounds of the probe into the case in 2017, where he is accused of financial irregularities.

Sujana Chowdary stated that he doesn't hold any connection with the Chennai-based company, Best & Crompton Engg Projects Limited, and its officials. Stating that he is unclear as to why the CBI issued notices to him to appear in the case registered on the company, the TDP MP said that he became aware of the company only after receiving the notices.

He further said that the CBI registered a case on the charges of loans being transferred through falsification of accounts. Saying that the CBI is alleging that he has swindled Rs 72 crore by showing the transactions in account books, Sujana Chowdary claimed that these notices were issued to destroy his reputation.
