Income Tax Sleuths At Narayana Institutions In Nellore

Searches were carried out by the income tax department officials, in two teams at the residence of AP Minister P Narayana at Nellore and the office of Narayana Medical college located on the same premises on Thursday.

Narayana seemed undisturbed by the searches and went on with his day as usual. He took part in the election campaign in the city, both in the morning and evening. He denied any comments when a few media persons had questioned him about the searches.

The I-T team could not find anything during the searches, said sources from Narayana Institutions. The sources said that they had conducted searches in the Narayana Engineering Institutions in Nellore as well and did not find anything.

The Chief Minister of AP said that after the TDP had pulled out of its alliance with BJP, they were being targeted by the enforcement agencies and raids. He had reportedly said that some I-T raids were possible in a day or two while addressing a public meeting at Cheepurupalli in Vizianagaram district.
