M Brahma Reddy from Thalairevu, Mummidivaram, had been going to the Pension office to collect his pension for the last three days but to no avail. On Tuesday when he had gone to the office and saw a huge line of people in the front, he went back disappointed. When he reached Tulsi Hospital near the Main road, he collapsed there and was immediately rushed to the hospital by  his family members. He was pronounced dead by the doctors as he had suffered a heart attack.

Dante Neeladri from Prathigondi village in Thalarevu Mandalam, East Godavari district was waiting for his pension at the office and was there till noon, waiting for his name to be called. By then he suffered a sudden and severe heart attack and died at the office Pension itself. The officers there sent his body in an auto to his residence and washed their hands off. His family said that he had been waiting for hours together and would have suffered a stroke. But the apathy by the pension officers was something left much to be desired.
