YSRCP Seek Action On TDP’s Fake Survey
Vizianagaram: YSR Congress leaders on Thursday identified people who were taking up a fake survey with the list of voters in Kumili village of Pusapatirega Mandal. They handed over them to the police along with their tablets.
Gollu Krishna, Gollu Demudubabu and Thothidi Demudu from Gajapati Nagar began a fake survey, 'People's Poll Survey in Kumili village.
The survey raised the suspicion of YSRCP party leaders including Mahanti Srinivasa Rao, Gujja Suresh Reddy. As per the survey, those who were responding against the ruling government were not being registered, instead were being ruled out of the voter list. Suspecting them, the YSRCP leaders approached the police, however, SI V Balala Jairavu dismissed the issue and let the surveyors leave without further investigation.
YSRCP senior leader and former minister Botsa Satyanarayana reacted strongly on the matter while the State Election Commission immediately spoke to the DGP officials. Several party leaders went along to raise the issue with the state election commission and state DGP on Friday to seek an inquiry into the state government's move to remove the Opposition party sympathizers' vote in the name of Survey. Contrary to the rules, the voter lists are being placed in the tabs and will be lodged with the surveys. The party leaders are also prepared to complain to the National Election Commission, if necessary.
